MetaROC is an innovative application that invites users to engage with Rochester's rich culture while uncovering hidden treasures. Users can benefit from real-world deals, discounts, and freebies from local businesses. A unique feature of the app allows individuals to create and share their own augmented reality (AR) images throughout the city for others in the community to discover. This gamified experience encourages users to embark on a scavenger hunt, with numerous collectibles, artifacts, and badges waiting to be found.

The app allows users to uncover historical artifacts and collect hidden treasures while earning rewards that lead to tangible benefits such as discounts and offers from local businesses. Simply hold your phone's viewfinder towards your surroundings, tap on identified objects, and add them to your personal collection.

You can easily showcase your collection by tapping on the Trophy Room button. Each collected object provides an opportunity to learn more about it; some may even unlock exclusive local offers.

MetaROC also enables users to capture memories in augmented reality. By using the Capture feature, users can take photos and preview them as AR experiences before saving them. Further creativity is encouraged through the Create function, allowing users to transform existing images on their devices into interactive AR moments.

Navigating through your AR photos is straightforward—selecting an image will focus it while hiding others. To view more details about a selected image, simply tap again. The Timeline feature provides an organized way to view, download, delete, or highlight cherished memories.

If adjustments are necessary for AR images' positioning, the compass tool assists in relocating them accurately. Once satisfied with the placement, a simple tap is all it takes to secure the image in its new spot.

The integrated map feature serves as a guide through this virtual experience, highlighting available collectibles while also pinning personal creations for easy access. Engaging with these pins leads users back to their Timeline where they can curate their memories within the metaverse.

Overall, MetaROC presents a compelling opportunity for exploring Rochester through a modern lens, encouraging both discovery and connection within the community.
